Davie Dauzat, 24.

WACO, Texas — A 24-year-old Texas man pleaded guilty on Friday to beheading his wife and putting her head in a freezer, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald.

Davie Dauzat was sentenced to 52 years in prison for killing 21-year-old Natasha Dauzat on Aug. 25, 2016.

Waco police visited the Dauzats’ home that morning after Davie’s brother asked for a welfare check but officers found no trouble. He later called police again after Davie told him that he had killed his wife.

That’s when investigators found the 21-year-old decapitated. Dauzat later admitted that he killed Natasha while their 1-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter were home.

According to an autopsy report, Natasha died from at least 43 stab wounds and other “sharp-force injuries, including decapitation.”
