2 accused of ATM skimming in Guilford County

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Two men are accused of ATM skimming in Guilford County, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Jhonatan Romeiro, 29, and Anderson DeLima, 32, were arrested on Thursday.

The two are accused of ATM skimming at 4500 Pleasant Garden Road.

The State Employees’ Credit Union alerted deputies when they discovered the individuals were manipulating the ATM and attempting to steal customer’s personal information.

On Friday, detectives with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the Baymont Inn located at 2001 Veasley Street in Greensboro as part of a follow up to the ATM skimming arrests. As a result of the search warrant, detectives confiscated $57,940 in cash.

Romeiro and DeLima are each being held in the Guilford County Jail under $1 million bonds.
