GREENSBORO, N.C. – Power has been restored to more than 2,000 people in Greensboro after an outage on Sunday.

Residents in the area of West Market Street and Muirs Chapel Road were without power from about 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The outage was caused after a piece of equipment on a power pole came loose and the wind caused it to hit a switch, causing the power to go out, according to Duke Energy.
