WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Two people have been shot and one person has died in a Winston-Salem neighborhood, according to Winston-Salem police.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block Richard Allen Lane Northwest Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 20-year-oldĀ Leon Denard Conrad Jr., of Winston-Salem. He was found inside a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound to his neck.

They say someone or several people fired multiple shots before driving off.

The other victim was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Winston-Salem police are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting and who is responsible.
