Incumbent Mayor Nancy Vaughan and Diane Moffett have advanced to the general election in the Greensboro mayoral race. Vaughan got the 61 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s primary election, with Moffett receiving 22 percent and John Brown getting 17 percent.

Jay Wagner and Bruce Davis advanced to the general election in the High Point mayoral race.

Incumbent Mayor Ian Baltutis and Celo Faucette advanced to the general election in Burlington’s mayoral race.

In a close race, incumbent Jamestown Mayor Keith Volz advanced to the general election. Volz received 141 votes and Lynn Montgomery, who also advanced, received 140 votes. Robert Frederick fell short, with 134 votes.
