Police department uses ice cream truck to connect with the community

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – A police department in Wisconsin wants to offer cool treats in the summer.

WITI reported that the Milwaukee Police Department is using an ice cream truck at community events as part of a community outreach program.

The truck will travel to different Milwaukee neighborhoods and special events this summer.

Milwaukee police said the initiative highlights the partnerships police have with local businesses in working to build a strong community.
