Juvenile shot in the leg while playing with gun at Asheboro home

ASHEBORO, N.C. – Two juveniles were playing with a gun that was on a bed at an Asheboro home and one was shot in the leg and injured, according to police.

Crews were called to the 600 block of City View Street shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday in connection to the incident.

The unidentified victim was taken to Moses Cone Hospital, according to Asheboro police. There is no word on the extent of the injuries.

Police said multiple people were at the home at the time of the shooting.

The exact ages of the juveniles involved has not been released. No other details were immediately available.
