GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating a fatal wreck on Fleming Road in Greensboro Wednesday evening, according to a press release.

Police were called at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday to Fleming Road between Brass Eagle Loop and Beechmont Drive for a single-vehicle rollover wreck, according to Greensboro police watch command.

A van with a single occupant ran off the road and struck a tree, the release states. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, said Guilford County EMS Director Jim Albright.

It is unknown what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. The identity of the victim has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
