Winston-Salem convenience store robbed at knifepoint

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A convenience store in Winston-Salem was robbed at knifepoint late Monday night, according to a news release.

At about 10:19 p.m., police arrived at the Chief’s Pick and Pack at 125 Linville Road. After an investigation, officers determined that a person entered the store and approached the register after picking up a small item. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect showed off a knife and demanded money.

The suspect took the money and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
