Police looking for 2 men accused of robbing convenience stores

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for two men who they believed robbed two convenience stores in Burlington Monday morning, according to a news release.

The first robbery occurred around 10 a.m. at Ken’s Quickie Mart located at 1309 Rauhut St. Upon arrival, officers determined two men entered the business with handguns and demanded money. They took money and merchandise before fleeing on foot.

The second robbery occurred around 11 a.m. at Joe’s Shopwell located at 1404 Apple St. Police say a similar suspect description was given and the men entered with handguns and left with money and merchandise. The duo fled on foot.

They believe the robberies are related and the investigations are ongoing.
