Police identify suspects in Burlington bar shooting

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police identified the two men accused of firing several shots during a fight at a Burlington bar early Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

With the help of calls to Crime Stoppers, officers obtained warrants on 27-year-old Torrane De’Mar Richmond and 30-year-old Justin Blake Ramsey on Thursday.

Richmond is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He turned himself into the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office and jailed on a $100,000 secured bond.

Officers are attempting to locate Ramsey. He is charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, discharging firearm in city limits and possession of a firearm by a felon.

At about 1:26 a.m. Wednesday morning, police responded to 1821 N. Church St. in reference to multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers spoke with several witnesses and discovered that an altercation occurred in the parking lot, which led to several shots being fired from multiple shooters.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
