BURLINGTON, N.C. — A 20-year-old Burlington man was arrested on two counts of statutory rape of a child.

On Nov. 1, deputies received a complaint regarding the alleged rape of a young girl, according to an Alamance County Sheriff’s Office press release. The girl’s parents said that Steven Tracey Jones Jr. engaged in a sexual relationship with the victim between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1.

After an investigation, deputies obtained warrants for Jones Jr., who later turned himself in.

He is in jail on a $75,000 bond.
