CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two Trader Joe’s hummus flavors have been recalled due to a risk of listeria contamination.

Bakkavor Foods USA Inc., which is based in Charlotte and supplies hummus to Trader Joe’s, announced the recall this week.

The two flavors being recalled are Trader Joe’s Mediterranean Hummus (SKU #90642) and Trader Joe’s White Bean & Basil Hummus (SKU #91107).

Both are sold in 16-ounce plastic tubs, and with “use by” date codes up through and including Dec. 15, 2016, according to a Food and Drug Administration.

The plant identification code “C” is stamped on the top of the products. Products with plant identification code “J” were produced in a different facility and are not affected by this recall.
