HONOLULU — A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for parts of… Hawaii?
Yes, it does actually snow in the Aloha State.
The National Weather Service posted a Winter Storm Warning for the Big Island summits through Saturday.
Forecasters say an upper level low combined with a surge of deep moisture will result in bursts of heavy snow across the Big Island summits above 11,000 feet through Saturday afternoon.
Heavy drifting snow, freezing fog and southerly winds 10-to-20 mph are expected. The temperatures will be in the mid-20s to lower-30s. Visibility could be below a quarter mile at times, the NWS said.
