MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.C. -- Here, everyday is a little bit like Christmas.

Starworks Glass Lab, a nonprofit in Montgomery County, has a goal of improving the local economy with art.

Each year, the organization's talented glass artists make hand-blown glass ornaments for a fundraiser.

"We try to make several thousand," said Thoryn Ziemba. "Each one is unique and part of that is shape and color but there are up to six glass makers here at any time and they are all going to put their hand and unique touch to the way they make things. And that's the beauty of a handmade object."

The beautiful ornaments will be offered to the public for sale, and at a reasonable price.
