The sports of rowing is growing in the Piedmont with the help of the High Point Rowing Club and the Greensboro Crew.

Saturday night was a special evening as we had the induction ceremony for the new Triad Rowers Hall of Fame.

Caroline Lind, who is a two time Olympic gold medal winner, was the first rower honored.

Before the Olympics, she was an NCAA champion at Princeton. Rowing took her all over the world, but being honored at home is truly special.

Kevin Connolly has more on her big night.
