Daniela Flores, 4.

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — A 4-year-old girl is partially paralyzed after she was overlooked by first responders during a car crash Monday afternoon.

KWES reports Daniela Flores was left alone in the vehicle and eventually found several hours later by a towing company.

Flores was in the care of her mother’s friend, who was the vehicle’s driver when the crash occurred.

Officials say people in the three cars involved in the crash all exited their vehicles while officers arrived on scene. Her mother’s friend allegedly told officials several times that there were no other passengers inside the vehicle.

Three hours later, the unconscious girl was located inside the vehicle.

Odessa Fire and Rescue will conduct an internal review to see if the acting responders did everything they could.

The driver was charged with intoxication assault.
