Toys stolen from Rockingham County elementary school playground

WENTWORTH, N.C. — Rockingham County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after toys were stolen from a local school playground.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, a preschooler-sized dark green tricycle with yellow wheels and a preschooler-sized light green bicycle with white wheels were stolen from the Wentworth Elementary School playground.

The items are believed to have been stolen between Thursday and Monday, while school was out for Veterans Day break.
