Cliff Barrows, musical director of Billy Graham Crusades, dies

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cliff Barrows, a longtime friend of the Rev. Billy Graham, has died at the age of 93, according to WSOC.

Barrows was the musical director of the Billy Graham Crusades which formally began in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1947.

He remained active in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and served 66 years on the board of directors.

According to his biography on the BGEA website, Barrows first met Graham while Barrows was on his honeymoon with his wife, Billie, near Asheville in 1945.
