THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- As our furnaces turn on, many of us feel our hair and skin drying out. Our pets feel the effects of the dry, winter air as well.

Kara Greenwood, of Groom This in Thomasville, offers some great advice for keeping your dog healthy and happy during the winter months. It may be more than you might think, but it’s worth it.

"If you think about how long you would go without brushing your hair and how bad it would look, how bad your scalp would get, people don't realize that dogs suffer the same way we do," she said.

They are also holding an Open House and Adoption Fair Saturday, November 12th from 10:30 to 12:30. Get more information here.
