NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — A 19-year-old New Jersey teenager is fighting for her life after she was knocked unconscious during a house party last weekend.

Emily Rand’s family is asking for help to identify the person who hit her after video shows an unidentified male punch her in the face. The blow knocked her to the ground where she fractured her skull.

Rand’s uncle Bob O’Connor posted on Facebook last Wednesday, asking for the public’s help in locating the assailant:

This is my niece Emily. She was at a party Friday night in New Brunswick and got punched in the face by a guy named Chris. She ended up with a concussion, fractured skull, and brain bleeding and is now on ventilator. She is not getting better or responding to treatment!

This is not a joke! Please pray she makes a full recovery, and they catch the scumbag who did this too her.

The Newark Star-Ledger reports she underwent surgery Thursday to reduce bleeding in her brain, but her aunt said she isn’t making any improvements.

“Not yet,” Debbie O’Connor said about her progress. “No improvement at all. She’s still heavily sedated.”

Police are still searching for the man, who they say fled the scene after the altercation.
