Suspect arrested in Greensboro shooting

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A shooting suspect has been taken into custody, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals.

Lakeem Shabell Luck, 28, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.

On Oct. 3 at 4:42 a.m., Greensboro officers responded to the 200 block of Sussmans Street in reference to a shooting.

Luck allegedly became involved in a verbal altercation, pulled a pistol out of his waistband and shot the victim in the shoulder, according to the Marshals.

The bullet became lodged in the victim’s neck. The victim was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

On Oct. 26, warrants were issued for Luck. He was taken into custody Wednesday and confined in the Guilford County Jail.

No bond information has been released.
