GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A Greensboro couple speaks out after being hit by a car at the Martinsville Speedway Sunday.

Twenty-two people were injured when a driver jumped the traffic line and ran into a crowd of people.

Alice and Jim Nemeti say they were hit head-on

"I saw him put it into drive and just floor it," said Alice Nemeti. "I knew immediately. I don't know how I knew, but I knew what was going to happen."

Alice says she has multiple scratches and burns. Jim says he has a hard time walking. Although they do not believe any long-term damage was done, both say they are still feeling the pain. They also hope the driver faces some tough consequences.

"We feel like he made a very bad decision and just kind of snapped," Jim Nemeti said. "If that is the case and his intent was to hurt people, we want him prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
