DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- One Davidson County man's passion for pottery keeps him and his business busy.

When Dion Haynes got out of the army, he went to work in the family construction business -- and he's still doing that. But several years ago, his life took a slightly different turn.

One Christmas, his wife bought them pottery lessons for a present. Fast-foward several years and he's hooked.

"It was a hobby, and you start making more and more stuff," he said. "You get to thinking, oh that's pretty good, but what am I going to do with this stuff? You can only do but so much."

So, he started selling his work and named his business Reed Creek Clayworks. His unique style has become quite popular and he hopes to continue his success.
