UNCG police investigate reported rape of student in dorm room

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are investigating a reported rape of a student in her dorm room.

The victim told campus police that she was in her dorm room during the early morning hours of Oct. 23 when she answered a knock at her door.

The peephole was covered and the suspect forced his way inside, according to the school. Once inside, he allegedly raped her.

Resources and support are being provided to the victim by the university and the police are continuing their investigation, according to UNCG.

The suspect has been described as a black male, about 5’10” to 6”, about 225 pounds with a muscular build and a haircut that is shaved on the sides and curly on the top.

He had a large diamond earring in his right ear, a medium size gold chain and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark sweatpants, according to the school.
