23-year-old Greensboro shooting victim dies

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A 23-year-old Greensboro man who was hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning has died.

Raheem Rayshaun Lamar Shivers died from injuries sustained in the incident, according to Greensboro police.

Police responded to the 1800 block of Boulevard Street at about 2:22 a.m. Sunday in reference to the incident. Officers found the victim and he was taken to the hospital.

Preliminary information indicates that the victim was in the parking lot of 3626 Mosby Drive, having a conversation with an unknown person.

During the conversation, multiple gunshots were reported, which resulted Shivers sustaining injuries, police said in a press release.

After being injured, police said the victim ran from the scene to the 1800 block of Boulevard Street, where 911 was called.

The suspect has been described by witnesses as a black male with dark complexion and 5’6” to 5’8” with a close-cut hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a white hooded zip-up style sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to police.
