ASHEBORO, N.C. -- For so many Cubs fans, seeing their team go to the World Series truly feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It’s more than just a game -- it’s history.

Mike Jones is excited to witness it.

As the owner of Mike’s Chicago Dog (and more), he brings a taste of Chicago to the streets of Asheboro.

“There are only three other places in all of North Carolina that do what I do here,” he said.

The walls inside the restaurant share a big part of his life story.

Jones grew up just seven blocks from Chicago’s famous Wrigley Field.

He’s now closer than ever to seeing his team win the World Series.

“108 years,” he joked.

Jones opened his business almost three years ago.

It didn’t take long for Cubs fans and baseball fans in general to find him.

“The Cubs are in the World Series! Tonight in Wrigley Field, it’s going to be electric,” fellow Cubs fan and customer Aaron “Vito” Geiser said.

“The people that have come into my life as a result of this is just amazing,” Jones said.

Game 3 of the World Series will be played at Wrigley Field -- the first game in the series to take place in Chicago.
