3 suspects sought after carjacking at Winston-Salem car wash

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Three suspects are wanted by police after a carjacking at a Winston-Salem car wash.

On Wednesday at 5:47 p.m., Winston-Salem police officers responded to Mr. Bubble’s Car Wash, at 5248 Germanton Road, after a report of an armed robbery, according to a news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department.

The victim told officers she was vacuuming out her 2004 Volkswagen Jetta when three males approached her and one produced a handgun and demanded the keys.

The victim gave up her keys and the three males, believed to be between 16 and 18 years old, got into the vehicle and left area traveling north on Germanton Road.

At 7:07 p.m., a vehicle stop was attempted on the Jetta in the 1500 block of Old Salisbury Road for an unrelated motor vehicle violation.

The vehicle failed to stop and the occupants eventually got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, the release said.
