FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. – A Winston-Salem man has been arrested for sexual offenses involving minors, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

David Allen Scudder, 69, faces three counts of indecent liberties with a minor and one count of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The suspect was arrested and charged by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 14 and jailed under a $65,000 bond. He was released on Saturday and has court planned for Nov. 3.

“I’m well beyond disgusted. I’m devastated. I’m absolutely devastated as mother. He has basically ripped my family a part,” said the victim’s mother.

She chose to stay anonymous, but decided to share the story of her claim that Scudder, a retired Physician’s Assistant, molested her daughters.

The two were 11-years-old and 13-years-old at the time.

“He was family friend so I thought I could trust him. If anybody I thought I could trust my disabled child with,” she explained.

She says Scudder was a caregiver for her daughters, but says he would never watch both of them at the same time.

She found out the details of what happened about year ago.

“I didn’t know about my oldest daughter until the detectives told me they seized his computer and found her on his computer and it was nude pictures,” she said.

Any suspicions whatsoever in your heart and in your gut, follow it because I had a gut feeling and I did not proceed with it,” she would later say.

The case is still under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
