Update – 10/24/16 at 8:04 a.m. — The Amber Alert for a missing 12-year-old North Carolina girl has been canceled.

Zahreiah Moni-Symone Gilliam has been found safe.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 12-year-old girl.

An Amber Alert has been issued for Zahreiah Moni-Symone Gilliam. She is a black female standing about four feet eight inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with white dots on the front, long black jeans and blue, black and pink tennis shoes.

The sheriff’s office has labeled the incident an abduction but has not released additional details surrounding her disappearance.

Anyone with information about Zahreiah is asked to call the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 534-2611.
