Girl Scouts troop accepting donations for Hurricane Matthew flood victims

A local Girl Scouts troop is doing a flood relief drive for the communities affected by the flooding from Hurricane Matthew.

Girl Scout Troop 02431 said the following items were needed:

  • water
  • nonperishable food
  • toiletries
  • diapers/wipes
  • paper goods
  • clothes
  • shoes
  • hand sanitizer
  • blankets/linens
  • trash bags
  • batteries
  • flashlights
  • cleaning supplies
  • toys
  • baby food

Donations can be made at the following locations:

  • Main drop-off: 4302 Johnson Street, High Point
  • If It’s Baskets, 2401 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro
  • Lake Brandt Baptist Church, Trosper Road, Greensboro
  • Great Clips ($1 off haircut with donation at Wendover Avenue Costco shopping center)
  • Other local Great Clips
  • Wesleyan Daycare, High Point
  • Shadybrook Elementary School, High Point
  • High Point Pediatric Dentistry
  • Blue Ridge Companies
  • Triad Apartment Communities
  • Greenpoint Insurance, Greensboro
