GREENSBORO, N.C. -- 210 students attend Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, and senior Otto Twagiramongu is one of them.

The 18-year-old moved to the United States from Uganda a little more than 4 years ago, and that's when he first learned to play the piano.

In addition to being a pianist, he is a scholar-athlete.

"He has brought a work ethic that honestly, very few kids in our school have," one teacher said. "I would say he is probably in the top 5 percent of our students in terms of work ethic."
