Teen arrested in Thomasville after stabbing his mother with an ink pen during fight over radio volume

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday after police say he stabbed his mother in the leg with an ink pen, according to a news release.

Davidson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 8275 South NC Hwy. 109 in reference to an assault call.

During the investigation, the teen was arrested for stabbing his mother in the left leg with an ink pen multiple times. The teen and his mother had gotten into an argument in the parking lot over the teen not turning the radio down in the vehicle.

The teen was arrested and given a $5,000 secure bond or custody release to his parents due to him being 16 years old. He was given a court date of Nov. 15 in Lexington.
