Man arrested in connection with bank robbery in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly robbed the State Employee’s Credit Union at 2305 Westchester Drive.

At about 1:30 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the bank. After talking with several employees, they discovered the man entered the business and passed a note saying he had a gun and demanded money.

The man, identified as 57-year-old Timothy Alan Norris, was located close to the bank and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say all of the money was recovered and Norris is in jail on a $500,000 secured bond.
