GREENSBORO, N.C. – Many people will tell you that being dedicated to working out can change your life. Kernernsville's Tim Dumont will tell you his new fitness plan "saved" his life.

"Close to two years ago we had some tragic events in our lives,” he said. “Me and my wife both had nervous breakdowns and as a result to that I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism became a severe alcoholic.

“I've tried everything I could to quit drinking live like groundhog day it seemed like every day I was at the counter buying alcohol, it was affecting relationships with friends with marriage with my children."

But then his wife got him a membership to Orange Theory Fitness in Greensboro. Tim was all in: waking up at 3:30 a.m. every day and taking the 5 a.m. class.

"It has catapulted my life into sobriety, it's been the catalyst of my sobriety,” Tim said. “I'm here at 5 in the morning, I get up at 3:30 every morning to get here. And get stuff ready and you can't be up drinking every night if you plan on being here, since I've started coming here I've lost 28 pounds."

This 60-minute high intensity, fat burning, metabolism raising class was perfect for Tim. It's rowing, running, strength training and so much more.

"It has transformed my life, transformed my marriage my relationship with my children I've learned to smile again and I haven't smiled in two years and brought hope back into my life,” he said.
