BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — A Guilford County Schools bus driver is getting a lot of attention after a good deed he did for students.

Oscar Pitt wanted to do something special for the McNair Elementary School students who ride his bus.

According to a post on the Guilford County Schools Facebook page, during the school’s book fair, Pitt gave every student on his bus a ticket worth $5 to be used at the fair.

The kids were able to pick out a book of their choice and Pitt distributed them one afternoon.

“We are lucky to have caring employees like Mr. Pitt!” the school system said in their Facebook post.

Guilford County Schools shared the post on Thursday at 1:37 p.m. and in seven hours it has racked up more than 1,400 likes and 200 shares.
