Arrest made in murder of Winston-Salem teen

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police have made an arrest in the murder of a teen over the weekend.

Christopher Marcus Wilson Jr., 22, of Winston-Salem, is charged with murder, according to a news release fro Winston-Salem police.

Emergency Services Personnel responded to 1450-A Bruce Street on Saturday and found 19-year-old Myles Cameron Diamond suffering from a single gunshot to the head. Diamond was taken to the hospital to undergo surgery and died at 3:19 p.m. on Sunday.

During the investigation, authorities discovered a gunshot was heard inside the Bruce Street residence at about 7 p.m. Saturday night. Officials say a man was seen leaving the scene shortly after the gunshot was heard.

An investigation revealed that, at the time of the shooting, Wilson and Diamond were roommates, the release said.

Wilson was taken into custody at the Public Safety Center without incident and is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center with no bond allowed.

Wilson is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 20.
