Boy, 6, dies days after school shooting in South Carolina
GREENVILLE, S.C. – A 6-year-old boy who was critically wounded in a school shooting in South Carolina has died, according to WSPA.
Six-year-old Jacob Hall died early Saturday afternoon and was one of two children injured in Wednesday’s shooting at Townville Elementary.
A teenager shot at Hall and another student and teacher. The student was shot in the foot and the teacher was shot in the shoulder. Both were released from the hospital.
The suspect was charged with murder and three counts of attempted murder. Authorities said the suspect did not attend the school and has no known relationship to the victims.
Hall’s parents released a statement Wednesday evening through the hospital thanking the community for their support and prayers.
“We appreciate the community’s support, especially the Townville Rescue Squad who treated Jacob onsite and brought him to the hospital,” said Rodger and Renae Hall, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
