I-40 West in Winston-Salem reopens after tractor-trailer accident

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- All lanes of Interstate 40 West have reopened on the west side of Winston-Salem following an accident involving a tractor-trailer.

The accident happened near Exit 188 (I-40 Business/U.S. 421) at about 3:25 p.m., according to the NCDOT.

A tractor-trailer overturned, the NCDOT said.

The lanes reopened shortly after 5 p.m.

There is no word on injuries at this time.
