GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Guilford County District Attorney will not reopen the case against a former officer for using excessive force.

Assistant Guilford County District Attorney Howard Neumann says the district attorney’s office met with Greensboro police yesterday.

Greensboro police turned over what they represented to be their investigative file in the Travis Cole case.

Neumann says it contained nothing new; nothing that the DA’s office had not already seen.

He says the DA’s office is comfortable with the decision it made and is not going to reopen the matter involving former officer Cole.
