Davidson County Sheriff’s Department car crashes into tree

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash involving a Davidson County Sheriff's Department car.

At about 11:08 a.m., the NCSHP responded to a traffic accident call at 1152 Johnsontown Road and discovered the vehicle hit a tree.

The reason for the crash is unknown and the driver is expected to be OK.

The investigation is ongoing.
