GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump campaigned in High Point Tuesday but the candidate didn't leave the Triad without stopping by one of the area's most popular barbecue restaurants, Stamey's Barbecue on West Gate City Boulevard.

Chip Stamey, the restaurant's owner, says he got a little bit of advance notice from the campaign, but didn't know for sure if Trump was coming until he walked in the door.

Staff were shocked when Trump arrived and some people eating lunch say it made their day to meet him.

"He came by and we both looked at him and see how much he looked like he does on TV and he shook our hands and we told him, 'Yay, keep it up!'" said Judy Collins, a Trump supporter from Eden.
