CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- Pawpaw is a term normally used as an endearing name for your grandfather, but as one Chatham County man showed FOX8's Roy Ackland, it's also a delicious fruit.
The fruit can be found in much of the country, including North Carolina. But because it normally grows in the wild, not a lot of people know about it.
The pawpaw fruit, typically green or black in color, is described as having the consistency of a mango or banana.
