SAVANNAH, Ga. — Two women are facing child abuse charges after police say a 4-year-old boy’s mother and his aunt tied him to a crab trap and taped his mouth shut, according to the Savannah Morning News.

The boy’s father said he went to visit him last week at the home of the boy’s aunt and found his son bound and gagged. The mother, Jill Love, 32, tried to keep the father from entering the home, but he forced his way inside.

Authorities have arrested and charged the aunt, Amy Sanders, with first-degree felony cruelty to children and are still searching for Love. Love is also charged with first-degree felony cruelty to children.

The reason for the incident is unknown and the child sustained minor injuries.
