Maryland woman arrested for stealing officer’s french fries

WASHINGTON — A Maryland woman was arrested and charged after she allegedly stole three french fries from a Washington D.C. police officer Wednesday night.

WUSA reports the incident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. at an Italian Pizza Kitchen.

Police say the woman sat next to the officer and attempted to start a conversation before she reached on his plate and grabbed a fry. According to the Maryland Police Department, the officer warned arrest several times and apprehended her when she took the third fry.

She was arrested and charged with second-degree theft and the property item stolen was listed was “French fried potato.”
