Multiple wrecks close 2 parts of Wendover Avenue in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Two wrecks closed two parts of Wendover Avenue in Greensboro Friday morning.

The first incident occurred at Tri-City Boulevard when the vehicle 73-year-old Suzanne Stowell Sherwood was driving hit a Duke Power pole. No other vehicles were involved and Sherwood was taken to Moses Cone Hospital with serious injuries.  Two lanes are currently open to traffic.

The second wreck occurred near Virginia Street when a vehicle rolled over. Two people were involved in the crash and injuries are considered to be minor. All lanes have reopened.

Both wrecks were several miles away from each other and the investigation is ongoing.
