GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Some Gaston County residents are upset after they found little plastic bags with a letter from a local Ku Klux Klan branch in their yards and driveways Thursday morning, according to WBTV.

The note, from the Knights of the White Disciplines, encourages neighbors to join the group.

“Never! Never! Apologize for Being White!” the note says. “Join us now!!” The flier also includes a phone number and website address.

Residents of the small neighborhood said they aren’t interested in joining the KKK and say anything hate-related is not welcome in the area.

Police say they have not received additional reports of the fliers.
