SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A mattress store in Texas is apologizing after a commercial circulating social media advertised a 9/11 “Twin Towers” sale.

KENS reported that Miracle Mattress in San Antonio posted an apology to its Facebook page on Thursday after a mounting backlash.

“We are very sorry we have offended you,” the business wrote, in part. “Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. Our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11.”

The business apparently produced a commercial centering around the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that stated, “Right now, you can get any size mattress for a twin price.”

It also showed people falling onto two stacks of mattresses, knocking them to the ground.

Several people on Facebook called the ad disgusting and said it was in poor taste.
