More than 2,000 Duke Energy customers in High Point, Jamestown area without power

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- More than 2,000 Duke Energy customers in High Point and Jamestown are without power and it may take all night to restore it, according to Duke Energy.

The outage was caused by a vehicle accident at 7:46 p.m. at Mamie Lane and Guilford Road in Jamestown.

Duke Energy's outage map estimates that power will not be restored to affected customers until 8 a.m. Wednesday.

No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
