GREENSBORO, N.C. – A singing group at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro recently put on a surprise show for some Walmart shoppers.

The UNCG Spartones acapella group performed unexpectedly at the Walmart on Wendover Avenue in Greensboro on Thursday night.

“We are all like a really tight family, and sometimes we just feel like singing, so we thought we’d give the customers and employees a taste of what we do,” said group member Josh Fowler.

The Spartones have been a group since 1997 and specialize in contemporary acapella music. They are all UNCG students.

“As you can see by the smiles on our faces, we all are in love with what we do and wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Fowler said.
